DeVille Co-Axial

Home

For the first time in this century, a very important type of movement in the world of watches is being produced in a 'mass'-market product. The official Omega announcement is here.

The movement was created by George Daniels (a famous English master clockmaker), Omega and ETA (which are both part of the Swatch Group).

The watch looks a bit like the old pie-pan (50's/60's) Constellation. However, Omega decided to call it the Co-Axial DeVille. The watch is available in 2 versions. 1000 pieces of a yellowgold watch with white dial, and 1000 pieces of a rosegold watch with black dial. All watches are numbered and come with a beautifull strap and deployment buckle in 18kt gold. Prices vary, but 5000-5500 USD is an average and fair price.

A website with some details about the Omega cal.2500 movement can be found here. It was created by Equations of Time, a great website for watchlovers.

Ed Hahn made a very nice review (one of the nicest reviews I've ever seen) on this fabulous watch, please click here. The picture above was taken from his site.
